Nitrous oxide sedation (Laughing Gas) is a very safe and effective way to reduce anxiety during your dental visit. The patient breathes a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen through a nasal mask which causes a euphoric, relaxing effect as well as some analgesic effect. Unlike other forms of sedation you will be able to drive once the affects have worn off.
